There has been a week of heat, again.
There has not been a day without sunshine since we moved
There has not been a day without sunshine since we moved to the Finnish side of Lapland. It has been a week of heat and it does not seem to stop. And when I am talking about heat, I do not mean 23 degrees as I did last time, I mean it has been 25-30 degrees every day. Did not think this would be happening when moving to Lapland.
So the weather has been great for some. Remu instead has been staying maybe the longest times indoors ever in his short life. Even five minutes laying in the sunshine, when we are enjoying our afternoon coffee on the yard, he’s panting for half an hour indoors in front of a fan. The only times to go out for a proper walk are in the mornings (though we’re not morning persons) or in the evenings. Even then the temperature tends to be over 25 degrees.
Beaches are out of the question for the obvious reason
We’ve been trying to find a secret spot where all three of us would be able to swim. Beaches are out of the question for the obvious reason, the dog, but also due to the lack of shades. We have come to a conclusion that Remu is not the only one who needs to be in the shadows when a heat wave is going on.
As much as we love the sun and the heat, for our puppy’s sake, it could cool down a bit.
Cheers,
Saara
